Build a practical key plan

Separate access levels

Group doors by who needs access: staff, managers, maintenance or other authorized teams.

Check existing cylinders

Confirm which locks can join the system and which need different hardware.

Allow for future changes

Consider new rooms, tenants and teams before the key plan is agreed.

Keep control after handover

Name a person to approve copies and keep a private record of issued keys.

Quick answers

Is this the same as putting all doors on one key?

No. Keyed-alike locks use the same key. A master-key system can keep separate keys for individual doors or groups while an authorized master key opens the agreed set.

Can you extend our current system?

We first need to check the existing system, compatible cylinders and any ordering or authorization requirements. Not every system can be expanded as it stands.

Does a master key prevent unauthorized copies?

Master keying alone does not control duplication. Ask about key-control options, approval rules and hardware suitable for your property.
